/a/the/this/that/ /kind/sort/type/ of 無冠詞単数名詞が原則で、単数扱いである。だが、/these/those/ /kind/sort/type/ of 無冠詞複数名詞も可能。/these/those/ /kind/sort/type of 無冠詞単数名詞や /these/those/ kinds/sorts/types of 無冠詞複数名詞さえも可能。それらは複数扱いである。
①This type of book sells well.(単数扱い)
このような本はよく売れる。
②These /type/types/ of books sell well.(複数扱い)
これらのような本はよく売れる。
①は一冊の本を指しての発言、②は二冊以上の本を指しての発言。複数の物があっても type は一つなのだから、単数形の type が普通だが、these につられて types となることがある。
[1-2-5-3] one of those /who/which/that/ の数の一致。/who/which/that/ の先行詞はthoseだから関係節では複数扱いが基本だが、one に従い単数扱いのことも多い。

[2-2-1]両性、通性、性別不明の語句は単数でも、性差別が生じないように、格式体では he or she で普通体では複数代名詞 they, we, you で受ける。
